If you are really this PETTY you are too immature to be married. Get OVER IT. You sound absolutely dreadful.

Traditionally weddings have been pretty much the same for centuries. Families getting married in the same churches and even passing the wedding gowns down. It’s a big “so what” for you to be getting all worked up over it.

okay I know I sound a little harsh when I say this but how could they do that?! I mean the couple should be given the cold shoulder from the whole family for six months or so .

Sounds like she is so insecure about herself that she had to steal someone else’s idea for the most special day of their life and pass it off as her own – maybe she didn’t think she could come up with anything imaginative or elegant herself. Who knows. Just keep quiet, attend the wedding and smile, and silently pity her. Sounds like she has problems.

Oh, and make sure your wedding is beautiful Your wedding can still be very distinct and different from hers, even if it is in the same place. Wedding guests generally dont remember details of the venue, or what food you had, or what color the napkins were….. they remember the happiness and geniune smiles on your face, and how beautiful you looked. Yeah, that sucks. But look at it this way – let them copy your plans and think of it as flattery. You already know that everyone in the family and friends knows they did. Now, don’t say anything further – it will just cause more problems than is needed. Go ahead, let it go and be happy for the happy couple and don’t say anything negative – it’s their happy day, too.

However, now that you know what they are doing for their wedding, you will have the honor of one-upping whatever they are doing. Take the high road and let it go. But don’t hesitate to do a classy one-up on the other couple.

I’d be flattered and wish them well. It’s not as thought they stole your precise time slot at that venue. Your weddings are separate events. May they both be as successful as possible.
