Sorry, but I thought this book was a waste of money. It read (and looked) like a high school publishing club project that somebody created in about thirty minutes. There are so many other cool books out there for brides-to-be! Don’t buy this one–it contains nothing new (including humor) and is not helpful in the least.

this is one of the funniest things i have ever read in my life! it’s honest, useful and downright hysterical. i bought it for my sister for her engagement gift, and had to end up getting her another one since i read the whole thing twice and already crinkled the spine! no real person with a job and a life has days upon days to spend reading long and dull books to plan their big day. this book was to the point about all the really important things to keep in mind–like keeping your lipstick fresh for pictures! putting a humorous spin on the situation turns wedding planning into something fun again! thanks ladies!

I bought this book for my sister two years ago, and have purchased 4 of them since that time for friends who have gotten engaged. The content is hysterical, the pictures are great, and it’s the perfect “Congrats on your Engagement” gift. I’ve told each of these 5 women that when preparing for this big day gets really overwhelming (which happens to everyone right?), pick up this book and read a few chapters…it will bring the whole thing back into perspective. One friend just called me last week after her first bridal shower, and said, “Did you notice I used the trick from the Guide when I got two toasters last weekend?” — definitely a great gift for all of your brides!

I just glanced at this book when I received it and was really disappointed you get maybe tops 100 words on a page every other page. Pictures take up half the pages and they are drawn cartoon pictures so nothing you need to see. Skip this book!
