I think what sold me on this product was the “to-do” list function that really kept us on schedule with preparations. If you are planning a wedding anytime in the next 6 months, I encourage you to download the demo IMMEDIATELY and see for yourself how much there is to do and how easy it is to keep it all in perspective with My Wedding Organizer.

I see now that the software has been updated and is even more user-friendly and we still prepare our Christmas card list using the same software every year. If you can find a better product on the market please let me know, as I have one more daughter to walk down the aisle! Trust me, at less than $30, you can’t go wrong, especially considering all the money you are about to spend on such a momentous occasion that you want to be perfect.

The “Companion” interface was exceedingly poor. No question that “Organizer” has a much better interface although it leaves much to be desired as well. The best I can say is that it’s way better than “Companion”.

Another criticism of have of “Organizer” is that it is very buggy. I’ve already reported about 4 bugs, but I run into bugs (crashes, screen not correctly painted, hangs, obscure database error messages, etc.) on a very very regular basis.

THat having been said, thus far, I’ve been lucky. Simply exiting and rebooting has generally cleared up most problems and although it is often painful, I have been able to get things done. I’ve only lost data once, but the program provides a reasonable backup facility that, thus far, has worked well.

SO in summary, I think it’s the best program of its kind among the two majors in this market, but that may not be saying very much.

Here’s the positive statement: I could not imagine planning a wedding without it, even with the bugs and compromises. The time it saves dwarfs the time I lose to problems.
