   I purchased “My Wedding Organizer” through Amazon because I trust this sight. However, this purchase has been an extreme disappointment. The program will not open. I have contacted the My Wedding Organizer sight 3 times, and their technical assistant, but they will not anwer their phone nor will they respond to email. This was a waste of my money. What is my recourse?

   I now have experience with both My Wedding Companion and My Wedding Organizer.

   The “Companion” interface was exceedingly poor. No question that “Organizer” has a much better interface although it leaves much to be desired as well. The best I can say is that it’s way better than “Companion”.

   Another criticism of have of “Organizer” is that it is very buggy. I’ve already reported about 4 bugs, but I run into bugs (crashes, screen not correctly painted, hangs, obscure database error messages, etc.) on a very very regular basis.

   THat having been said, thus far, I’ve been lucky. Simply exiting and rebooting has generally cleared up most problems and although it is often painful, I have been able to get things done. I’ve only lost data once, but the program provides a reasonable backup facility that, thus far, has worked well.

   SO in summary, I think it’s the best program of its kind among the two majors in this market, but that may not be saying very much.

   Here’s the positive statement: I could not imagine planning a wedding without it, even with the bugs and compromises. The time it saves dwarfs the time I lose to problems.

   This software is so straightforward, even a person with minimal pc skills will find it easy to manage. It provides a clear scheudle of when things should get done that it really takes the stress out of the planning. A must have for any bride.

   I found this software 4 years ago when I decided, being a computer nut, that there must be a better way to prepare for a wedding. I searched and downloaded at least five products but was blown away by My Wedding Organizer. We were able to plan the perfect wedding for my oldest daughter with this incredible software package that tracks everything while being so flexible. The database handling features are so intuitive and creating lists for parties, showers, and luncheons was very easy.

   I think what sold me on this product was the “to-do” list function that really kept us on schedule with preparations. If you are planning a wedding anytime in the next 6 months, I encourage you to download the demo IMMEDIATELY and see for yourself how much there is to do and how easy it is to keep it all in perspective with My Wedding Organizer.

   I see now that the software has been updated and is even more user-friendly and we still prepare our Christmas card list using the same software every year. If you can find a better product on the market please let me know, as I have one more daughter to walk down the aisle! Trust me, at less than $30, you can’t go wrong, especially considering all the money you are about to spend on such a momentous occasion that you want to be perfect.
