  1. The first few test shots were fine, but the photos got lighter and lighter, to the point where they all ended up like a white cloud. So I cannot tell you how good or bad the product is. I am returning this and will report back once I get its replacement.

  2. I bought the Powershot 1300is to replace my Powershot A610. I like the color, big LCD screen, and the feel of the camera. When the camera arrived, I took several pictures with different settings. The pictures all came out grainy and fuzzy at the edge (with or without zoom is the same). Additionally, the image/picture viewed through the LCD screen is obviously grainy. Consider how much I have to pay for this camera, I don’t think the price reflect the quality. I returned the 1300is and just bought the 1400is. There is an obvious difference between the 1300is and the 1400is. The picture take with the 1400is is crazily clear and crisp. So I recommend to pay a little bit more to get the 1400is and stay away from the 1300is.

  3. This was just what I wanted and needed for my current picture taking.

I used to use 35mm, lenses, all of it. Too much trouble when traveling.

Picture quality is very very good.

  4. We have had the camera for a month now and find it easy to use and takes great picture. I say that as an owner of a Canon D50 and have found this camera is not an SLR, but compact camera is impressive.

  5. I had the SD1200 for six months before it was lost and replaced with this model. I bought this because of the low light capabilities. The SD 1200 zoom was much easier to use as it was on the back of the button and one could use one’s thumb to manuveur it. This model has the zoom onthe front and is not as convenient. Also, the image before shooting the picture is not as clear so I never really know if my subject is in focus. I think this problem is attributable to the larger screen. I am only sure of the clariy when reviewing the shot. All in all, I prefer the SD1200 model.
